It takes a lot to provide for all the animals in shelter care, and as you can imagine, we go through supplies very quickly. You might have extra cleaning supplies, sheets, towels or blankets around the house that you don't need, and to us, they can be an amazing gift and tremendous help. 

 

Kaaawa K9 Rescue encourages you to do some "spring cleaning", and consider donating anything that is on our list below. We encourage you to ask your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to donate as well. This is an amazing opportunity to do a good deed and provide much-needed items for dogs in our care.

Dry Dog/Puppy Food 

We can use any brand of dog food, as long as it contains real meat as the #1 ingredient and contains no corn.

• Some of our favorite healthy & affordable brands include ACANA, KIRKLAND (COSTCO), SOLID GOLD, and ORIJEN.

Canned Dog Food

We can use any brand and style of wet food for our canine residents! Ground/pate-style wet food seems to be their favorite.

Pill Pocket Treats for giving medication to dogs. We can use any brand - you can get GREENIES PILL POCKETS FOR DOGS from most pet stores.

We appreciate each and every donation, but there are some items we’re unable to accept at this time due to limited storage space or health/safety concerns. Rest assured, any donations we receive will be put to good use! If we can’t use it, we will pass it along to another non-profit who can!

• Open containers of food/treats: For health and safety reasons, we can't use open containers of food. Any open food that is donated to Kaaawa K9 Rescue is passed along to local low-income pet owners to help care for their pets.

• Heavily Used/Worn Items: We are unable to accept donations with signs of heavy use, such as very rusty kennels (a little rust is okay), frayed/dirty collars and leashes, etc.
